Green Trade Barriers & China's New-Energy Exports

China Trade & New Energy · Firm-level empirical research

The EU Battery Regulation raised market-access barriers on China's EV and battery exports through carbon-footprint, due-diligence, recycled-content and battery-passport requirements. Using firm-level customs data with a continuous difference-in-differences and event-study design, the report finds a significant early shock that attenuates within months, with better-governed listed firms proving most resilient — alongside sector deep-dives, an outlook with scenarios, methodology, a compliance checklist and a glossary.

Optimal Taxation & Long-Term Fiscal Policy

Taxation & Macro Policy · Structural macro research

Capital and labour taxation, policy stability and macroeconomic outcomes. Using dynamic general-equilibrium analysis with heterogeneous households, the report shows that the credibility and stability of long-term tax plans — not just their level — shape investment, public debt and welfare, with implications for anchoring durable fiscal frameworks. Includes an optimal-tax primer, illustrative policy scenarios, an institutional toolkit and a glossary.
